Aaliyah Haughton made headlines in 1994, when she dropped her first album Age Ain't nothing but the number. At the age of 15 years old, the album earned Gold recognition. This collaboration, heavily in the direction of R. Kelly's music, made her a star. In 1996, she teamed up with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland on her sophomore studio album One In A Million, featuring the number one hit single If Your Girl knew. The second album of Aaliyah, One in a Million came out in the year 1996. It contained the number-one song, a huge hit, If Your Girl Only Knew. In 2000, she was on the screen in Romeo Must Die, a romance/action movie with Jet-Li. Joel Silver, a film producer who was at an award show in which she was cast, noticed her. In 2002 she got to be part of the horror film Queen of the Damned which was an adaptation of the Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels followed, which featured Zee as the lead character.
