Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actor and producer. She has been recognized for her stellar performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Piano, as well as The Incredibles. Her film Piano earned her an Oscar. Her career in acting started with Broadway with a variety of Broadway as well as Off Broadway productions. It has always been her obsession. In fifth grade, she played Helen Keller in an original play. After suffering from the mumps, she became deaf in one of the sides of her ear. But, it was not enough to stop her desire to pursue a career as an actress. When she was a teenager She studied acting and eventually moved to New York City. After a casual encounter, she became stuck in an elevator alongside the playwright Beth Henley and the two joined forces to create the play 'The Broadway Crimes of the Heart that became Hunter's debut. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began to look for film roles. The role she was offered came as an actress supporting the leading character Swing Shift. Her work spans over 30 years, and she's been featured in many TV movies or series, as well as films. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
